Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-12467:
---------------------------------------------

I'm confused - the jira says this bug is present in Alpha1 and above. Isn't this issue present on all versions of BrowserSim until now ?

Also, the issue/fix seem to be because our calculation of which javavm to use rely on an SDK and we calculate it based on string replacement.

Questions for that:

1) Do we really need an SDK instead of a JRE ?! Why?
2) Why aren't we looking up the default Installed JRE in eclipse preferences and use that instead ?
3) seems like we should have a preference for the browsersim to be able to control which installed JRE to use (Future rev)
4) What happened between Java 6 and Java 7 that made this break ?!

...i'm ok with putting the patch in IFF browsersim is going to be rebuilt anyway - Nick ?

But otherwise I would focus on getting this fix properly for Alpha2 - and get the FAQ fixed since right now its not making sense and should not refer to specific Alpha versions IMO
