Yahor Radtsevich commented on JBIDE-5418:
-----------------------------------------

{quote}We should rather build a XulRunner 1.9.2 from tag to prevent from issues.{quote}
Мost probably XULRunner 1.9.2 cannot be built for Cocoa 64-bit (according to [this comment|https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-5418?focusedCommentId=12533569&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-12533569]).

{quote}If we have the same compatibility range for MacOSX, it means that APIs are stable enough to link with another version that 1.9.2. I don't think we would get some linkage issues.{quote}
JavaXPCOM API is not provided by SWT. It is provided by our {{xulrunner/plugins/org.mozilla.xpcom}} bundle. We update it every time when moving to another XULRunner.
The {{MozillaInterfaces.jar}} file in this bundle contains all signatures of XULRunner methods.
If we do not update this file, and API is changed, then it will refer to not existing methods. The native errors will be thrown when VPE will call these methods.
