Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-12668:
------------------------------------

Actually, it IS the same issue - the openshift 2.3.1 manifest won't allow you to co-install egit 2.0 and openshift 2.3.1.

There are 3 ways to install openshift into Indigo or Juno:

A. install openshift 2.3.1 from JBT 3.2.1 into Indigo or Juno: works - but can't update to egit 2.0 due to the fact that your fix to the manifest to allow 2.0 was done AFTER we released 2.3.1 / 3.2.1 (2 weeks later)

B. install openshift 2.3.2 nightly from JBT 3.3.2 nightly into indigo or juno: works - and can update to egit 2.0 because you fixed the manifest

C. install openshift 2.4.0.alpha from JBT 4.0.0.Alpha into juno: works - and can update to egit 2.0 because you fixed the manifest

--

So, short of using the 2.4.0.alpha version [1], or the nightly 2.3.2 version, you could also edit the manifest.mf files from openshift 2.3.1 by hand to allow egit to be updated from 1.3 to 2.0.
