Adding it to the JBoss perspective was also my idea as a matter of fact. 

To add to the ease of opening the Forge view : in Juno there is a Quick Access text box available directly in the main toolbar; this offers the Cmd+3 functionality, meaning that typing 'forge' in that text box immediately shows an entry for the Forge console which will open when you click on this entry.
