So...it is ok now or do you just mean the server wizard was not complaining about what you pointed it at :) ? 

Since I cannot reproduce this can you just verify what you downloaded came from http://www.jboss.org/jbossas/downloads/ more specifically http://download.jboss.org/jbosseap/6/jboss-eap-6.1.0.Alpha/jboss-eap-6.1.0.Alpha.zip and I'll get QE to pound on it.
