If used M2_REPO instead of a hardcoded path then you can as a user at least define M2_REPO and things will work assuming you got sources downloaded.

I have simulated copying a project to another machine by entering the XXX.YYY source attachment. The Source Lookup plugin has attached a correct source file without any user's intervention.
