I typed to fast without double-checking ;)
Nick's patch makes that Alpha2 branch show no version, whereas next version will show "4.1". Not sure which one is the best one, but I would vote for closing this ticket and re-opening a new one against master if we want to get rid of "4.1" on future branches.
