Michelle Murray commented on TOOLSDOC-315:
------------------------------------------

It looks like 'cd' will also navigate to the resource and make the resource name appear in the Forge prompt. But 'cd' doesn't open the resource in an editor if it is a file. I guess that is the distinction between the two. Also, with pick-up you do not need to specify the path to the resource but with 'cd' you do (e.g, pick-up pom.xml versus cd jboss-project/src/pom.xml).

Thanks for the info [~koen.aers].

> When I right-click on a project component in the Project Explorer tab and click Show In > Forge Console, Forge runtime automatically executes the pick-up command.
