[~maxandersen], regarding the content on the URLs:
* [1], which has JBDS 6 and prior content, is going
* [2], which has JBDS 7 content, is going to be the *only* page so all of the content from [1] is being added to [2] (TOOLSDOC-382)
* Redirects are going to be made from docs on [1] to equivalent docs on [2] to avoid lost links/info 

As a work around, I guess you could leave the link in Central as is and once the redirects are in place all will be fine. Just a shame that this JIRA wasn't implemented.
