Details on supported operating systems and Java developer kits listed in docs and web pages are taken from approved QE tests plans. For example, [1] for JBDS 7.0. If there is a test plan for 7.1 please point me to it. I am pretty sure I asked QE if there would be a change to the tested/supported OS/JDKs for 7.1 at the start of 7.1 development and the answer was no.

Note that making this change affects:
* the JBDS 7.1 Installation guide 
* supported configs web page
which list supported OS and Java developer kits combinations.

If adding Mavericks, I would need to know which Java developer kits we are supporting it with. OS X Lion (10.7) and OS X Mountain Lion (10.8) are listed as supported with Apple JDK 1.6 and Oracle JDK 1.7 (64-bit only).
