Yep, thats right - this bug was also under ubuntu (just not so noticeable). The root of the issue was tightly coupled with the default font size under linux distros. For instance, default font under fedora was bigger than under ubuntu - layout breakage was more obvious. Now under all Linux distros the font will be pretty the same.
