Hi Paul,
Please change the compositeArtifacts.xml to point to the ModeShape Tools 3.1 release here:
http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/development/juno/soa-tooling/modeshape/3.1.0.Final/
The 3.1 release was built using JBT 4.0.0.Final-SNAPSHOT.
