This functionality already exists. Have you tried hitting Ctrl+Enter? That should automatically start the test. Since changing the url may also require changes to the request details, it didn't seem right to have it trigger on Enter only (with two options, which comes first - selecting the operation or triggering the test execution?). 

The Ctrl+Enter option has been in the code for quite a while now, but may not have been documented.
