I find it confusing to deal with classifier, especially because the default management of target-platforms artifact by Tycho does not handle classifier. See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=383865 . Then the "Tycho-way" encourages usage of different artifactIds rather than usage of classifiers.
