As commented above, the connection URL is now reported differently, depending on when the URL is requested. 

* In the "session" when the cartridge was created (mysql://$OPENSHIFT_MYSQL_DB_HOST:$OPENSHIFT_MYSQL_DB_PORT):

* In latter "sessions" (mysql://127.11.220.3:3306/):

Afaik this is only the case for PostgreSQL and MySQL (not mongoDB).
