Rob - there have not been in changes to the structure of ESB  runtime releases in ages thus not understanding why you mention that.

This situation is the exact same as if AS 7 guys comes out with an AS 7.1.4 or even AS 7.2.0 between our releases - I don't expect our tools to *error* and prevent that from being used. Warnings yes, errors no. At least not if the only thing changed are bugfixes and no structural differences.
