So I can see a couple of issues:
1. There is no error when BrowserSim fails to start. It just won't do anything.
2. When you select java 1.6 32bit during jbds installation on Mac, BrowserSim preferences show java 1.7 as the default - should be java 1.6
3. When your jbds runs on java 1.6 32bit and browsersim is set up to use java 1.7 (which right now is the default), it won't start. Could it have to do with 32bit vs. 64bit?
