I have more and more the impression that you cannot batch send events in 1 request. At least all documentation about events tracking refers to it as separate events in time (like playing and stopping a video) which could explain why GA keeps resisting my attempts to send multiple event values in a single request.
If this is the case, then we'd need to look for another way of reporting several values in a single  request. Another approach could be custom variables.
