Rob Stryker resolved JBIDE-14380.
---------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: 4.1.0.Beta2
       Resolution: Done

This is not able to be replicated in upcoming release. Please verify the following is added to your vm-args:

-Dorg.jboss.logmanager.nocolor=true

I have tested it and removal of these arguments will allow the strange characters (ascii color codes) to show. If you add this key, everything is fine.
