Max Rydahl Andersen resolved JBDS-2645.
---------------------------------------

    Fix Version/s: 7.0.0.Beta2
       Resolution: Done

The first part of the warning is spot on - you are pointing to a JRE thus you should be warned since it most likely will not launch EAP 6.1/SOA 6.0 for you.

The message and detection in itself have been changed in JBIDE-14565 and requested initially in JBIDE-14397.

This same message should also occur in JBooss Tools if you pointed it to an JRE instead of a JDK.

Marking this as resolved since the message should now be better.

> The following warning is displayd during creating EAP 6.1 (SOA 6.0)
> "This runtime type requires a JDK for launching a server. We cannot guarantee the default virtual machine for this execution environment is a JDK."
> Is there any reason for this warning? Note that this is only in JBDS (not in an appropriate JBT). I suggest to remove this warning.
