Nick Boldt commented on JBDS-2546:
----------------------------------
Suspect that to pull the eclipse version information into our About screen, we'd need a custom p2 touchpoint which could pull the details at install time (and would also have to update the information when/if the user updated their version of Eclipse OR their version of JBDS).
[~burrsutter]: is this a "nice to have" or a "paying customer request" ?
Would displaying "Kepler" or "Eclipse 4.3" be sufficient, or do you need to know the *exact* Eclipse version contained in JBDS?

> How does someone answer the following question:
> What version of Eclipse is "inside" JBoss Developer Studio?
> Ideally, the string of "Eclipse Juno 4.2.1" and its build-id would be listed underneath the JBDS version, build id and build date.
