There is actually two issues in here:

[~nickboldt] is "Decouple Software/Update tab - allowing for updates without a JBDS build/shipment" done by now ? This is where we can do a build and update to the 3rd party central content without requiring or causing any rebuilds of JBDS provided content (i.e. to add a new 3rd party plugin or update an existing one).

[~mickael_istria] is your tool for doing p2 testing being used by QE to verify 3rd party plugins on central today or is it done some other way ? (note: this is for testing central content *before* it gets released)
