Nick Boldt commented on JBTIS-89:
---------------------------------
To make a target platform site contain no references, I think what you want is the "unified" style of .target file rather than the "multiple" .target file.
Compare:
https://repository.jboss.org/nexus/content/repositories/snapshots/org/jboss/tools/targetplatforms/jbosstools-unified/4.30.5.Alpha6-SNAPSHOT/jbosstools-unified-4.30.5.Alpha6-20130523.114755-2-jbosstools-unified.target
to
https://repository.jboss.org/nexus/content/repositories/snapshots/org/jboss/tools/targetplatforms/jbosstools-multiple/4.30.5.Alpha6-SNAPSHOT/jbosstools-multiple-4.30.5.Alpha6-20130523.114345-2-jbosstools-multiple.target
How do you get from one to the other?
https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-target-platforms/blob/4.30.x/jbosstools/multiple/pom.xml (first build & deploy this)
https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-target-platforms/blob/4.30.x/jbosstools/unified/pom.xml (then build & deploy this)

> I don't see how this repo could be used in a jbds setting when it contains repository references to jbt repositories. My understanding was that this repo only contained the extra dependencies for jbt-is. By including these references, if this repo is used in jbds, all those linked repos will be available too, polluting the pool of available features/bundles.
