Steps to verify in JBDS 7.1.0.Beta1:

1. Install JBDS 7.1.0.Beta1 or newer from jbdevstudio-product-universal-7.1.0.Beta1-v20131020-0229-B441.jar 

2. Add this to studio/jbdevstudio.ini (in the section starting with -vmargs)
