I just tried this in JBDS 7.0.1 and JBDS 7.1.0.CR1 with JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA and cannot replicate.

My scenario: Add AS 5.1 server, open server editor, open launch config, add external jar, apply, OK, close server editor, open server editor again, open launch config again: jar is still there in external jars.

With AS 7.1.1 the jar disappears (expected for now).
