https://github.com/openshift/openshift-java-client/pull/84 with the basic functionality to list/add/change env variables was merged into the openshift-java-client master. We're now only missing the ability to ask the client if this is possible since there's no guarantee that a server that talks protocol 1.2 offers this. Env vars were backported to protocol 1.2 and there are servers which dont have this ability yet.
