I actually am leaning towards removing the Icons & Splash tab completely from the editor. Icon and splash tags are supported on the phonegap build only and we do not really support phonegap builds at this time. I am not sure what sort of solutin we (and the upstream Cordova project) will have for them but until we do it does not make sense to keep the tab around.
