Its very simple - testng is not required by jboss tools ease-of-use. Thus its not in main TP. If we one day thought it should be then it should be added to the TP.

[~nickboldt] the product default install shouldn't really be "Better" than JBDS BYOE. if we could make JBDS BYOE just as easy to use (but not limit upgrades) we should.

But for now this is about m2egit which is much more quintessential than testng.
