Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-17050:
-------------------------------------
Two issues here:
1) mgmt shutdown is not checking the 'force shutdown' flag
2) mgmt shutdown doesn't know how to force shutdown, since it could be started in multiple ways ;)
Both are fixable. I'll get on it.

> Today I set out to verify JBIDE-16480 - issues with detecting a server already running.
> You said that if you want to ensure detection of running instance between different server versions, you should use Web Poller. Well, I did that and ended up in a situation where I couldn't stop the second server at all.
> I know that you said previously that you can't cancel the action altogether once Start has been pressed. That we would have been best. But we have to be able to than at least stop the server once it's been showed as started.
> Right now the only way to get out of this is eclipse restart.
