Forge needs to monitor resource changes in order to recalculate the Project facets and it also provides a monitor() feature to FileResource so that any addon can monitor changes to a file or directory.
It doesn't seem right to disable this feature. Vineet, have you tried that patch? Does it fix the issue? We can put it in Forge and release another version if necessary, that's not a problem.
