I checked this issue with JBDS 8.0.0.Alpha2 B41 and I cannot reproduce it, so I resolve it as Out of date.

Here's what I did:
I added Seam runtime 2.3.2.Final-redhat-1 from WFK 2.4.0.
I imported the jee6 example maven project into the workspace.
I opened the components.xml to check there is no warning/error.
I verified there is no warning/error in the Problems view either.
