Fred Bricon commented on JBIDE-16341:
-------------------------------------
you should remove <webXml>src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml</webXml>
Basically, you configure the build to filter the webResources then you tell it to overwrite the web.xml with src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml (the original file)

> I work in a project where web.xml content must be filtered depending on maven profiles. I have configured pom.xml as follows but Eclipse doesn't process filtering for web.xml when deploying the app to the server through Full Publish from Servers Tab.
>
> <plugin>
> <artifactId>maven-war-plugin</artifactId>
> <version>2.4</version>
> <configuration>
> <failOnMissingWebXml>false</failOnMissingWebXml>
> <webResources>
> <resource>
> <filtering>true</filtering>
> <directory>src/main/webapp</directory>
> <includes>
> <include>**/web.xml</include>
> </includes>
> </resource>
> </webResources>
> <warSourceDirectory>src/main/webapp</warSourceDirectory>
> <webXml>src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/web.xml</webXml>
> </configuration>
> </plugin>
>
> Environment: Eclipse Kepler 4.3.1, JBoss Tools 4.1.1, JBossAS7.1 and Maven 3.1.1.
> If I build the project with maven package everything is working fine.
