Im not sure if it ever worked. I found this https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-4736?focusedCommentId=12481035&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-12481035 so I assumed It should. Also in Preferences -> JBoss Tools -> JBoss Maven Integration you can enable/dislabe "Seam runtime"
