Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-17314:
-------------------------------------
To be more specific, we can't see any charts for a new default connection in the jmx view because it doesn't fulfill the api requirements of the lower-level jvmmonitor notion of a connection. So while we can make a jmx connection, and browse its mbeans, we won't be able to see charts, because it's a different thing. One is a jmx.core ConnectionWrapper, the other would have been an IActiveJVM which can show charts.
Guess I have a lot of digging to do for next major release to see how best to unify these if possible.

> Much of the UI from http://www.jvmmonitor.org/doc/index.html#Monitoring_JVM_on_remote_host is missing and disabled. We must discover where it's gone, why it's disabled, and whether it can be re-activated.
