As said on the PR "Something doesn't add up here" - so I think part of the confusion is

A) static.jboss.org tools and jbosstools dir had funky permissions - these are now fixed but waiting for akamai cache to be refreshed.

B) site.yml had multiple references to different based images_url which caused confusion above when comparing urls (there are different urls used wether you used staging, production or dev mode) - once #A is fixed i'll push update to the PR.

C) community.jboss.org literally changed layout over night as we discussed this thus we might have been met with different content when looking. project theming is now gone from community.jboss.org but favicon might come back via this https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ORG-2155
