[~vineet.reynolds], I have a look at with StatusBar plugin. So as far as I'm concerned only *open*, *hide* and *isVisible* are supported for all platforms (Are you using platform specific API?). I think this API can be implemented via browserFunctions but it will be rather tricky, cause we have no API for status bar hiding / showing - will need to reimplement IPhone, IPad, Android layouts. IMHO if it has no vital utility  we can just "swallow" Status Bar API and log it to eclipse console https://issues.jboss.org/secure/attachment/12383079/plugin-error-log.png (no pop-up at all).
