Martin Malina reassigned JBIDE-15162:
-------------------------------------

Assignee: Rob Stryker (was: Martin Malina)

[~rob.stryker], why am I not asked for the path of the remote server on the remote machine, when I create a remote server without a runtime? The only way I can see is to open the server editor afterwards.

Also, there is one minor thing that's always been bothering me a little - when you create a new remote host for the first time, could it be selected once you're done creating it? It's kind of counterintuitive to create it and still have an empty string selected in the drop-down menu.

> See the attached screenshots - it seems counter-intuitive for a user to have to reference an installed local EAP instance to too create a remote server definition
> - open the "Servers" tab (where servers are stopped/started)
> - click in the area
> - now right mouse click and select "New->Server"
> - select JBoss Middleware EAP 6.1, click next
> - this next panel requires you to enter a directory to a local EAP install
