Michelle Murray commented on JBIDE-15932:
-----------------------------------------

[~ibuziuk], [~vpakan], I can see messages being reported in the console view when I start CordovaSim including error messages.

But what is the expected behavior of the Console view on CordovaSim startup? I had the Console view closed when I started CordovaSim and had expected the Console view it to open but it didn't. Also when the Console view was open but not in the foreground and I started CordovaSim I thought that the Console view would spring to the forefront (like when starting servers) but it didn't. Is this expected behavior or is it a bug on my Fedora 19 JBDS 7.1.1.CR1 installation?

> When a cordova application is launched the console.log calls are not displayed on Eclipse console (or anywhere else). CordovaSim needs a place to display the logs either within eclipse or on the Ripple console so the user can be notified about errors happening early on.
> Just using firebug or similar would not solve this issue since it is not started early enough.
