(was: @Michelle: looking at my layouting code I see that I'm centering the combo vertically. What I can do is to tell the combo to fill the available space and see if this changes anything for you. I unfortunately cannot test GTK3 since I get empty views on my FC20. So I'd kindly ask you to verify once I changed layouting code. I just double checked with [~mlabuda] (QE): he's using GTK3, too, so he'll be able to verify it.)
