removing skins is not a scalable solution if your problem is just about the menu being too big.

Why not have a notion of favorites and we can adjust the list of default favorites but the user can remove/add them from the list so the menu does now grow unbounded ?

 And I think we should split up this jira into "make the UI workflow better to handle with large number of skins" and another "new skinds/layouts to add" - wdyt?
