As I'm working on fixing the TargetToRepoMojo (cf JBIDE-17167 ), it seems to me that the TP validation mojo doesn't explicitly verify transitive resolution. It's reported at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=434238
