OK, so NOW we have:

http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/static/targetplatforms/jbtcentraltarget/4.31.0.Final-java8/ so that like the rest of the 4.31.0.Final Central TP (for JBT 4.1.x), the Java 8 support will be Akamai'd.

The above PR links the Central plugin to 

http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/kepler/central/java8/

which is a composite site, pointing at the above /static/ URL.

Once approved, I will build a new plugin jar and replace the current one (org.jboss.tools.central.discovery_1.2.201.Final-v20140416-0805-B610.jar) linked from here:

http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/kepler/jbosstools-directory.xml
http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/development/kepler/jbosstools-directory.xml

with the new one.
