Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-16871:
---------------------------------------------
the convention decided for products is: jboss-<shortname>-<version>-<asset>
thus for devstudio that is when released:
jboss-devstudio-8.0.0.Beta2-installer.zip
jboss-devstudio-8.0.0.Beta2-installer-src.zip
jboss-devstudio-8.0.0.Beta2-core-updatesite.zip
jboss-devstudio-8.0.0.Beta2-central-updatesite.zip
I suggest until we release (upload) we use:
jboss-devstudio-8.0.0.Beta2<qualifier>-installer.zip so we can see the exact difference.
And for jboss tools just to keep things similar we use similar for releases:
jbosstools-4.3.0.Beta2-updatesite.zip
but
jbosstools-4.3.0.Beta2<qualifier>-updatesite.zip for exact builds.
Any concerns with that ?

> URLs should avoid any uppercasing if possible, but since our most recent release versions are 7.1.1.GA and 4.1.2.Final (notice the uppercases) that part should stay.
> But rest of our updatesite urls and zips should start aligning to use same naming convention.
> Not "JBossTools-Updatesite" when it should be "jbosstools-updatesite"
> or "jbosstools-Sources.zip" when it should be "jbosstools-sources.zip".
