I think it works as expected.
A user selects/checks profiles he wants to add. He can't select already present profiles.
Sorry, I am not sure what you mean by "disabled". Present profiles are already disabled, i.e., can't be checked.

Removing profiles can be easily performed using the Maven POM editor.
