I'm not following how creating a com.jboss.devstudio.core.central.feature helps this situation about having a slimmer central.
The splitting up is a jboss tools level issue, not devstudio.

For me there are two issues:
1) getting the list of toplevel features to install central as it is today
2) looking at cutting down the footprint of these features IF they are found too excessive.

Is the above devstudio.core feature #1 ? or also #2 ?  #1 my belief (at least during f2f was that this was doable today) , #2 is something we said we would *possibly* look into.

neither of these we need a  date for to create the jiras - create the jiras first so they can be triaged would be better.
