This release fixes a major issue in m2e-apt, annotation processing arguments being ignored. See https://github.com/jbosstools/m2e-apt/issues?q=milestone%3A1.1.1. The fix has been tested extensively by the guys working on https://github.com/excilys/androidannotations, for the past 2 months.
There's no reason why we shouldn't pick the new release in 8.0.1
