Verified in JBDS 8.0.0.CR2 B286. It works as expected now. When you start the installer with the internet plugin, it will default to something better anyway. But if you still enter "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home" manually, you will now get only one warning: JBoss Developer Studio does not work with Java Applet Plug-in.
I think it's ok. Closing.
