so we are spending cpu cycles and network connection on checking this ? and no, I never got the "Up to date" flag. probably because I also removed central from the updatesite urls... but why not have the button there and tell users what version he got and it is already uptodate ?

as is now there is no way for the user to be really sure what he got.
