I cant reproduce this. I set my host to the following:

{code}
192.168.0.44  freaking
{code}

the server adapter is set to "freaking" as host name:

...and I'm using oracle jdk:

java version "1.7.0_51"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_51-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.51-b03, mixed mode)

....which the server adapter is using:
!server-runtime.png!

.... and server adapter and logs show both wildlfy 8 final are both flawlessly started:
