I can confirm this issue on JBDS 8.0.0.CR1b. Devstudio is using com.jboss.jbds.central.discovery_8.0.0.CR1-v20140915-0431-B264.jar which does not contain fix from  JBIDE-18335

I guess, that it's because ide-config.properties was already edited to go with CR1 being released to public and prepared for next (CR2) milestone, but correct bits for JBDS are not in place yet as the release process is still in progress. 
Can you confirm [~mickael_istria]?
